Tucked away in a quiet spot behind a former inn, this cottage is just a short walk from the centre of the lively market town of Aylsham. Home to weekly food and produce markets together with an array of shops, cafes and pubs, the town is full of community spirit. A five-minute drive will bring you to the impressive National Trust Blickling Estate, a breath-taking Jacobean mansion surrounded by historic parks and gardens of ancient yew hedges and Bure meadows. While a 30-minute drive south will bring you to the bustling county capital of Norwich, head north to the spectacular Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to experience Norfolk’s wildlife, sandy beaches and quaint coastal towns.

Inside, this cottage is brimming with traditional charm, with exposed beams, cottage windows and cosy room proportions throughout. Prepare tasty meals in the compact kitchen, which is fitted with a new electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment and microwave. The sitting/dining room next door is a good-sized room with exposed beams, a feature fireplace and electric woodburner, perfect for those cosy evenings in. The room is furnished with comfortable sofas, a dining table for two, TV, music system and iPod dock, and opens onto the patio. The double bedroom is a delightful room with exposed ceiling beams, a cast iron bed and pine furniture and the tiled bathroom has a walk in shower, along with a vanity unit. There is a shared laundry room in an outbuilding, which houses the washing machine.

Outside, a delightful private walled garden is beautifully stocked with colourful borders and pots. A picnic bench is positioned in a sunny spot for enjoying al fresco meals. There is off-road parking for one car on a shared driveway.

A wonderful stay in a perfect location for Aylsham amenities. The property was perfect for two people with a generous sized lounge, bedroom and excellent walk-in shower.
