A pretty two-bedroom cottage offering thoughtfully maintained period accommodation for four guests, enjoying a beautiful location overlooking the salt marshes in the village of Salthouse.

Salthouse is a pretty coastal village which is a fantastic place to enjoy a relaxed holiday near the sea. Walk from the cottage straight into the village centre with its welcoming pub and its charming crab shack. The village beach is situated within 0.5 miles of the cottage and is a delightful shingle beach which stretches east to Kelling and west to Cley-next-the-Sea. The salt marshes, which are literally on the property’s doorstep span for 66 hectares and are home to a wealth of wildlife, making an ideal spot for keen walkers, wildlife enthusiasts, and those with an interest in photography. The dawn sunrise over the marsh (for those up early !), is one of nature's wonders.

A garden path leads up to the front door of this property and brings guests to the characterful lounge with its inglenook fire place with its warming wood burner, beamed ceiling, and TV/DVD which can be enjoyed from the comfortable seating. Next to the lounge, the kitchen/diner is finished in a homely style and offers a dining table seating four as well as an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washing machine. The contemporary-style bathroom with its shower-over-bath and WC can also be found on the ground floor, as can the separate shower room with its shower and WC. The two bedrooms can be found upstairs, the first of which is a king-size room, with the second room being a restful twin.

Outside, gardens to the front and rear offer plenty of outdoor space to relax, with garden furniture allowing guests to enjoy al fresco dining. There is curb-side parking available on the road just outside the cottage.

Lovely cosy cottage with a very pretty, enclosed, private back garden. Very well equipped, even a salad spinner! Have recommended it to all our friends and family and have rebooked for next year.

We found Cherub Cottage ideally situated in Salthouse and catered for all our needs, well furnished with a secluded garden which was ideal for our 2 small dogs. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely book another stay.

Excellent for us and our 18 month old dog. Easy reach to the beach, The Dun Cow pub/restaurant next door was really good too. It was just what we needed to get away and we made full use of the log burner in the evenings. The house was comfortable and warm too. Would definitely think to book again, There were just two of us, it would be comfortable Read morefor four people too. Hide

We found the downstairs bathroom and shower a big disadvantage but we did know about it. Also I missed wifi so would not book again. The crockery left was not microwaveable As it was edged in gold trim which was a nuisance. We both found the Freeview tv difficult to use even with the manual and directions.

Love the cottage, but the only downside is that you cant get phone signal and there is no WiFi. Also I didnt realise there is 2 bathrooms downstairs, so a bit of a pain if you need to get up in the night.

Cherub Cottage is very comfortable, clean and easy to use. Its position is brilliant with the view of the marshes, good walks and the pub and shop adjacent. We would, and have already, recommended it to others.

A wonderfully located property within a stone's throw from a village shop, Cookies crab shack and a well served pub. Easy reach of walks direct from the cottage are good but unless the tide is out the beach walks are on shingle which is quit hard work. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable time

Cherub Cottage has to be one of the most idyllic in North Norfolk. The location is exceptional. Also having the Dun Cow next door and Cookies over the green makes a really good holiday. Views towards the sea, birds galore and cattle grazing on the salt marshes.
