With its long stretch of sand and safe swimming, the beach at Mundesley is backed by a promenade lined with colourful beach huts, cafes, refreshments, an ice cream parlour and even crazy golf, making this a truly superb family-friendly holiday destination with something for everyone. Also, just a short drive away is the traditional seaside resort of Cromer (8 miles), home to Amazona Zoo along with the Pavilion Pier Theatre with various shows on well worth a visit. Head to Stalham (10 miles) to hire a day boat to explore the magnificent Norfolk Broads or head to Great Yarmouth’s Pleasure Beach with its plethora of rides and attractions just 27 miles away.

Entering through the rear door, you’ll arrive in a spacious boot room that is an ideal space for your four-legged friends to sleep for the night. Next, there’s a utility room and a separate WC, then on to the modern-style kitchen which any cook will feel right at home in. Once dinner is ready, serve up at the dining table in the kitchen that can comfortably seat up to six guests. Walk through to explore the rest of this property and you’ll marvel at the exposed beams throughout including in the lovely lounge, which has a gorgeous wood burner, along with a Smart TV and enough comfortable seating for all guests – perfect for cosying up on a dark, chilly night with loved ones. There is also a separate games room with a pool table. For those who wish to set up a workstation for catching up on work, you’ll love the snug/office area with a desk. Completing the ground floor layout is a lovely conservatory which has views out into the beautifully maintained garden. Upstairs, you have a master bedroom with a super-king-size bed, ample storage space and a spacious en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower. Bedroom two also offers ample storage space with a super king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into twins on request), while bedroom three is a twin room and has plenty of space to store your clothes and any personal items. When it’s time to refresh, then guests have a family shower room and a separate WC.

Outside, you have an enclosed garden and patio area to the front and rear of the property complete with garden furniture for those who wish to enjoy drinks or dine in the garden of an evening. There is also an outdoor table tennis table to enjoy. The back garden has a gate which leads out to the main road, and from here, a walking route leads down to the beach (0.3 miles) and local amenities. There is private off-road parking to the rear of the property for up to three cars. There is a car port.

This was honestly one of the best, if not the best holiday rental we've ever had. The cottage has so much charm with original features and such comfortable beds and furnishings it really was a home from home (but better!). For those with dogs needing a proper secure garden, this property has not one but two outdoor spaces secure with high walls andRead more strong gates. A really lovely cottage, very well equipped, warm and comfortable as well as very clean. The enclosed garden is ideal for dogs, as is the location close to the beach. The village shops and The Ship Inn are also a short walk away. The best holiday cottage we have stayed in!

Cowper cottage was very comfortable, clean and warm. We had a lovely relaxing week. It was close to the beach and shops. The boot room was great for cleaning off sandy paws and boots and the garden fully enclosed for dogs. Anyone staying over the winter months I would recommend Horsey Gap to see the seals and their pups. It was amazing.

Lovely cottage in a great location. Everything was perfect and the whole family loved it. The village of Mundesley is perfect for a short break. Will definitely return if they have back that is.

Very nice property in great location. Its very well equipped. Large comfortable beds with good quality bed linen. Towels in holiday homes can be poor but not here they were large and fluffy. Parking for three cars are the rear of the property is useful.

Cowper Cottage was a total delight. Spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished, it was everything we could want and more. It has clearly been renovated with great attention to detail, and everything is top quality. It is one of the very best holiday homes we've stayed in, and we fully intend booking again next year.
