Set in a tranquil coastal village, this beautifully restored ancient fisherman's cottage is an idyllic holiday retreat and enjoys an unrivalled location overlooking the protected marshes at Salthouse.

The secluded village of Salthouse makes a great base for a holiday in the north of Norfolk, with a shingle beach nearby, and plenty of walks to enjoy. From the heathland there are great views of the salt marsh, and fantastic opportunities for birdwatching. The Muckleburgh Collection is 2 miles away. The popular seaside resort of Cromer is just 10 miles away, or you could explore quieter coastal towns and villages including Blakeney (4 miles) and Sheringham (6 miles), which both feature beautiful beaches and nature reserves. The thriving market town of Holt is 4 miles inland. Local attractions include the 100 acre Holt Country Park, the working watermill at Letheringsett and the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle.

On entering this lovingly updated traditional cottage, you will find yourself in the light and welcoming open-plan lounge/diner. With plenty of comfortable seating, TV, DVD and a wood burner, the tastefully furnished lounge makes an ideal space to relax in at the end of a lovely day. There’s also a charming dining area, and the delightful kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge with an ice compartment. Off the kitchen is a utility room which is perfect for storing coats and boots. There is also a cosy double bedroom on the ground floor, which overlooks the courtyard and has an en-suite wet room. Heading upstairs you will find two further bedrooms with views over the garden and towards the marshes: one double and a single room with an additional pull-out bed which is available by prior request. There is also a family bathroom complete with a shower over the bath.

Outside is a lovely south-facing walled garden. Featuring shrubs and a large patio, it is a sheltered suntrap with garden furniture allowing you to sit back and enjoy a meal alfresco. There is a car parking space to the rear of the garden and further parking on the road opposite the cottage.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
