With bags of character and just under a mile from the popular Norfolk town of Holt, this charming cottage is a dream bolthole for couples who love both coast and country.

Designed and decorated with refined comfort in mind, this classic home offers a welcome stay in the picturesque Norfolk countryside for four adults. Head on foot to the nearby Georgian town of Holt and spend hours browsing the hidden gems that lie within its four flint stone yards; the galleries and antique shops, and independent shops and cafes. Keen walkers and cyclists should head to Holt Country Park to explore its heathland and woodland areas, or head five miles to the shingle beach at Cley, where birdwatchers will delight at their findings near the salt marshes. For a traditional day by the seaside though, head 11 miles to Cromer and discover the rock pools and famous pier.

Inside the cottage, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is spacious and welcoming, stretching the entire length of the cottage. There is a warming wood burner ready for you to fire up on a cool evening, relaxing in the comfortable sofa beneath the window. The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as a breakfast bar that makes for a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee. With seating for four, the dining area is perfect for your stay. To the front of the property you will find an additional lounge, also with a wood burner. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom that boasts delightful garden views, and is spacious enough for a sofa plus table and chairs. It also has an en-suite shower wet room. Heading upstairs, you will find the second double bedroom, which has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. Also on the first floor is a separate WC.

The garden is a delight. Either side it is flagged by cottage garden plants, from irises to lupins, while at the end stands a traditional summer house. Heavily scented, climbing roses surround the seating area. To the front of the house you will find private off-road parking for two cars.
