A bijou barn conversion offering welcoming accommodation for two guests, boasting a private walled garden and a first-class location in the splendid town of Holt in North Norfolk.

This cottage enjoys an enviable location in the centre of the beautiful Georgian town of Holt, just metres away from the interesting array of independent shops and excellent choice of restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops. The town is just perfect for a leisurely stroll, taking in the lovingly maintained architecture and browsing the weekly farmers' market with its local produce and hand produced goods. Drive just 4 miles north of the town to reach the coast which is dotted with quaint harbour towns, peaceful coastal reserves, and splendid sandy beaches.

 

The front door of this barn conversion cottage brings guests to a small hallway, to the right of which they will find the cosy lounge/diner. In one corner of the room the dining table seats two guests, whilst an inviting sofa sits under the beamed ceiling, perfect for spending an evening curled with a film on the TV/DVD. Crossing the hall, a second door leads guests into the kitchen which has been finished in a country style and offers an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washing machine. Returning to the hallway, an oak staircase leads up to the landing beyond which the double bedroom can be found: a restful room with dual-aspect windows and a recessed hanging space for clothes. The bathroom can also be found on the first floor and offers a Victorian-style rolltop bath as well as a separate shower cubicle and WC. Please note that due to the period and style of the property there are some areas of low head-height.

 

 

Patio doors from the lounge lead out to the cottage’s walled garden, a delightful space which is mainly set to lawn, also benefitting from a patio seating area with garden furniture. Unusually for the centre of Holt this property comes with a parking space for one car at the front of the property, an excellent addition which means you won’t need to use the town’s public car parks.

 

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
