An end-of-terrace period cottage enjoying a central location in the harbourside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, just 1.5 miles from the town’s wide stretch of sandy beach.
This cottage is situated just off the high street in the pretty coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea. The town makes an excellent base for enjoying a seaside holiday, without having to spend time travelling to the beach each day. The town’s beach is situated just 1.5 miles north of the centre and can be reached within a thirty-minute walk from the property. Alternatively, visitors make like to take the road train which runs from the harbour to the spectacular sandy beach where there is a popular beach cafe and the sands are backed by coloured beach huts and shady pine trees. For a different view of the beach, regular boat trips run from the town quay out around the coast, or out to the neighbouring marshes on a bird-spotting trip.
The front door of this cottage opens directly from the street into the hallway where guests can leave their coats before continuing through to the lounge/diner. This homely room is a cosy space with comfortable seating, a TV/DVD, an open fire, and a dining table which can be extended out to seat six diners. The kitchen is situated towards the rear of the property and is furnished with a pine dresser, as well as good range of equipment to include an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. The washing machine and tumble dryer, for those who need them, are kept outside in a separate utility shed. Stairs lead from the entrance hall up to two bedrooms on the first floor. The first of these is the master bedroom, a double room with a built-in wardrobe and enough space to accommodate a cot. The second bedroom on this floor is a twin room. The bathroom, with its shower-over-bath and WC can be found on the first floor. Steep cottage style stairs lead from the first floor landing to the third bedroom on the second floor, a pretty attic twin bedroom situated in the eaves of the property, therefore guests should be aware that there are sloping ceilings and some area of reduced head height. There is also a separate WC and wash hand basin on the second floor.
To the rear of the property there is a modestly-sized but pleasant patio garden with a BBQ, garden furniture and space for guests to sit out and enjoy alfresco drinks. There are public car parks available within walking distance of the property, for which a permit can be obtained from the town’s tourist office.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
