With delicious food and fresh coffee a few steps away in the family-run deli below, this charming property in the heart of the village of Cawston is the perfect place to explore all of Norfolk. Ideal for cyclists, Marriot’s way is accessed from the village itself and a little further afield is the stunning Norfolk Coast, including the towns of Sheringham (16 miles) and Wells-Next-The-Sea (22 miles). Other attractions within easy reach include the North Norfolk Steam Railway in Holt (12.5 miles), the End of the Pier show at Cromer (16 miles) and the National Trust properties of Blicking and Felbrigg Halls (6 miles and 15 miles). For a day out on the water, why not hire a boat and explore the scenic waterways of The Broads which are 20 miles away.

On arrival you’ll find parking to the rear of the property via the driveway to the left of the deli. Walk through the gate and in through the back door, following the steep spiral staircase up to enter this welcoming apartment. When you reach the top of the stairs you’ll find the kitchen to the left, equipped with everything you need to prepare a light snack or dinner, including an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and a wine cooler. The spacious lounge and dining area is opposite the kitchen and here you have a large and comfortable L-shaped sofa which is positioned in front of the TV (with Freesat). It’s a comfortable spot to cosy up with loved ones after a busy day out exploring and catch up on your favourite shows or enjoy a movie together. If you decide to dine in, then serve up some hearty food at the dining table which can seat up to four guests. The master bedroom is a king-size room with a dressing table and plenty of storage space for your belongings, and bedroom two is a twin room that is also zip-and-link and can be made up to a super-king-size double upon request. Both bedrooms share a family shower room with a shower and WC, perfect to revitalise your senses of a morning or evening.

Outside you have a small, enclosed patio, decking and artificial grass area with a table and chairs which is the ideal place for your four-legged friend to stretch their legs whilst you enjoy a morning coffee or evening drink. The off-road parking space is directly behind the property with room for up to one car.

We had a lovely week at the Lookout. Clean and spacious, comfortable beds and a good shower! I know others have written about the stairs, but they were not a problem. Easy distance to the coast, NT properties and Norwich. Friendly owners and a good Deli below.

Fabulous and extremely clean property with amazing space to relax in. Great location for the best that Norfolk has to offer. As mentioned in other reviews the spiral staircase is a tad tricky, especially if you have large and heavy luggage.

Lovely, comfortable apartment for a very relaxing stay. Plenty of space to spread out at the end of the day. The spiral staircase is quite steep, but wasn't a problem for us. Breakfast in the Deli below is one of the best I've had in years - but so filling we forgot to have lunch :)

The apartment was lovely. It is large, comfortable and well equipped. The tea, coffee and cake were much appreciated. Nicely located. Delicious breakfast served in the cafe downstairs and a decent shop for your other needs. Great place but it must be said the staircase is a challenge!!

We had a very comfortable and lovely stay for two weeks at the Lookout! We visited with our two young children and it was very comfortable and memorable stay. We felt very welcome and supported by the hosts! Also really enjoyed the little touches of local baked goods and drink left for us! Thank you :) Would definitely recommend!

very comfortable little apartment. the Stairs on entry are very steep / Spiral, not good if you have a disability. if you are over 6feet beware of the low ceilings and beams in the bathroom and kitchen. great too have the Deli under the apartment, great breakfasts and produce. Lovely people.

Lovely little apartment with everything we needed. Fantastic deli downstairs with a delicious breakfast and sandwich offering and some lovely treats to buy to take home with us. Brilliant location in a quiet village and not that far from Norwich, Cromer, Holt and other places for day trips out. All in all- would highly recommend.

Probably the most comfortable stay we have had in 3 years of regular rentals. Very spacious, well equipped, extremely clean with friendly and helpful owners. The location above the owners' deli is an added advantage. There is a carpeted spiral staircase to access the accommodation which could be challenging to anyone unsure of their footing.
