An attractive converted coach house sleeping four guests, enjoying a desirable location in the pretty Georgian town of Holt, within a few hundred metres of the thriving town centre.

Many people, both locals and visitors, come to Holt to take in the unique atmosphere of its attractive Georgian squares and interesting array of shops and places to eat. A 4-mile drive north brings visitors to the Norfolk coast and the quiet village beaches of Cley-next-the-Sea, Salthouse, and Weybourne. The larger sandy beaches at Cromer and Wells-next-the-Sea are both excellent places to enjoy a leisurely day playing on the sand, paddling, and playing games, and are both situated within 12 miles of the property.

The first room that guests come to on arrival at this converted coach house is the light and airy kitchen/diner with its large dining table and a good range of equipment including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. One bedroom, a double, can also be found on the ground floor, next to which there is a stylish and contemporary shower room featuring a walk-in shower and WC. The second double bedroom, meanwhile, is located on the first-floor, a charming room set in the eaves of the property with a quaint romantic feel and beamed ceiling. Please do note that the location of this room and the period nature of the property mean that there is a low, sloping ceiling. A separate set of stairs from the ground floor leads to the cosy lounge, a characterful room with a TV/DVD and CD player.

To the front of the property there is a pleasant courtyard area with a table and chairs making it a nice spot to sit out with drinks. The courtyard also doubles as an off-road parking area.

  • 2 double bedrooms
  • Shower room with shower and WC
  • Internal stairs are steep
  • Wi-Fi included
  • Electric heating
  • Oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher
  • Regret no pets
  • Pub and shop 0.1 miles, beach 4 miles

The Old Coach House is a lovely comfortable unusual property in the heart of Holt. The car parking for two cars directly outside is very convenient. The cottage provided us with everything we needed for our weeks stay and the welcome gift of Norfolk Apple Juice and marmalade was greatly appreciated. Holt is an interesting little town with lots of tRead moreea rooms, cafes and shops and the nearest coast is just 4 miles away. We were able to explore Norfolks coast and the famous Broads comfortably. Hide

Holt is a really lovely town and very central to travel around. The cottage was well equipped and nice bathroom. The problem was the traffic noise , it seemed noisier than outside as everything echoed.. The lounge needs more lighting .

A fantastic central location in Holt with free car parking outside for two cars. However, must definitely improve the lighting in the lounge, it's so dark you can't even read a book. The Smart TV keeps on losing signal in fact so many times it's so frustrating. This issue needs sorting. The loft bedroom is NOT for adults, the room is so small and hRead moreas no ventilation and only a very small skylight. Hide

Lovely cottage in ideal place in Holt. The cottage is excellency equipped. Although the bedroom in the attic is dark and very cramped. The beds and pillows are very comfortable , and towels and bedlinen are good quality. Would not recommend using for 4 adults.

The cottage was well equipped and extremely well decorated to a high standard..Apart from a couple of maintenance issues that we reported it was very comfortable indeed. The WiFi signal was not the fastest hence the Smart TV occasionally lost signal ( was it due to the area ) Then again we didnt go there to sit and watch tv..All modern kitchen appliRead moreances and bathroom fitted to high standard.Parking not a problem. The Old Coach House was well equipped and a good location for exploring the North Norfolk Coast. However, I think the other reviewers have been polite about the road noise - even sleeping with ear plugs in, we were woken up by traffic rumbling past. Coupled with the lack of blind in the 1st floor bedroom and the light streaming in at 5am, we didn'tRead more feel very well rested by the end of the week. Obviously Holt is a lovely town and staying centrally was nice but did have the above disadvantages. Hide

Great central location and base for the area. Very clean and comfortable. Some traffic noise but as we chose a town location we expected that.

A nicely furnished property, very comfortable, central to walk into the shops etc. Suffers from traffic noise, as on the old Cromer road, and the roof space being open, cannot .absorb the noise. TV WIFI signal kept dropping out, frustrating. The lighting in bedroom & lounge, would benefit from more directional lamps, to help with reading. We would Read morerecommend this property if the TV signal and lighting were improved. Hide

It's a brilliant location - smack-bang in the middle of Holt. Although there was no garden, the table outside meant we could eat outdoors in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need.

The Coach House is well situated very close to the town centre with the major benefit of having off street parking . The property has all you need for a holiday home. The only slight downside is that the rooms seem to echo the sound of passing traffic
