We loved the cottage which was bigger and more cosy than suggested by the pictures and description. Nice to have some logs for the fire provided. We only had time for a 2 night stay but wished it could have been longer. The property is in the pretty village of Stiffkey, a great location to explore North Norfolk. The area around the property is quiet as there are only two other cottages close by. The cottage itself is a nice size but is looking tired. The inside needs a lick of paint and the outside desperately needs weeding, general tidying and the grass cut. The cottage was quite comfortable. It would have been nice to have had basketful of wood to give us a fire on the first night and also information as to where could replenish said stock. The stairs to the first floor would definitely be a challenge to a less mobile person. All in all the cottage was lovely and we certainly enjoyed our stay. Thank yRead moreou. Hide

Very comfortable and clean cottage with everything one could ask for. Peaceful and plenty of wildlife, red kites, buzzards, muntjac deer and the kingfisher under the bridge but you have to be quiet and patient. Once arrived park the car and use the coastal bus from Stiffkey all along n/norfolk coast, so easy.

Great location and building work nearby did not cause any disturbance. Meeting muntjac deer every morning was a treat. The cottage had a very cosy 'feel' to it and the heating worked perfectly when required. Would stay at Walnut Tree Cottage again.
