Set in the heart of an idyllic village on the Norfolk coast, this spacious, welcoming and traditional cottage makes a cosy and ideal holiday home for a family looking to enjoy this stunning area.

Ideally situated on the lovely village green opposite the 13th century St Margaret’s Church, with the village pub just a stroll away, this pretty cottage is perfect for exploring the picturesque village of Cley, famous for its 18th century windmill and offering a variety of independent art and craft shops, art galleries and excellent places to eat and drink. There’s a lovely shingle beach nearby, and you can discover the beautiful NWT Cley Marshes Nature Reserve, the oldest and best known nature reserve in the area, which is a haven for birdwatchers. You can also enjoy stunning walks along the Norfolk Coastal Path, and explore coastal towns and villages including Wells-next-the-Sea (10 miles), Blakeney (1.5 miles), and Cromer (12 miles).

On entering this traditional Norfolk flint detached cottage, you will find a spacious and bright lounge with plenty of comfortable seating, TV and DVD. There’s also a formal dining room where you can enjoy a meal in style, or sit back in the study/reading room where you are welcome to peruse the owner’s large book collection, providing they remain in the property. Exploring further, you will find a large, light and stylishly designed kitchen with oak beams, a double butler island sink, induction hob, oven, American style fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The kitchen faces due east to make the most of the morning sun and also features a separate breakfast/dining area. The kitchen also has an Aga style oven which can be lit on advance request between November and the end of March. There is also a ground-floor WC. Heading up to the first floor you will find two bedrooms: a master with super-king bed and a further double.

Stepping outside you can unwind in the charming screened courtyard seating area. Ample off-street parking is available outside the property. Please note the property shares courtyard access with a second holiday property with a separate outdoor dining area which is well-screened by tall bamboo planting.
