Situated on the edge of the river in the heart of the historic market town of Bungay, this house is the ideal base from which to explore both coast and country, with easy access to East Anglia. With an array of shops, pubs and restaurants within a short stroll, the location is also near the coastal locations of Dunwich, Southwold and Lowestoft. For keen walkers and bird watchers, why not take some scenic walks along the River Waveney where an abundance of wildlife can be spotted? RSPB Minsmere and National Trust Dunwich Heath bird reserves are also close by for a lovely beach walk and wildlife spotting. Hire a boat for the day and explore the vast, scenic waterways of the Norfolk Broads and for an array of retail and culinary choice, the historic cathedral city of Norwich is just 16 miles away by car.

Enter this wonderful riverside property into the lobby area and kick off those walking boots before heading in to explore the rest of the house. The kitchen area has everything you need to feel at home with its electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and a separate utility area houses a combi washer/dryer. There is a dining area with a large table and seating for up to eight guests which provides a more formal area for you to gather around and enjoy nice food and good conversation, which is complemented by views across part of the river and the countryside. The lounge area also boasts gorgeous river views, complete with resident swans. There are two large sofas and an armchair in here, so plenty of seating for all guests together around the large wood burner whilst streaming or watching your favourite shows on the Smart TV. There is a smaller table and chairs to sit and have a quick meal or spot of lunch while you admire the surrounding scenery. A shower room with WC completes the ground-floor layout. Upstairs to the first floor, there are three bedrooms, the master is a double with a chest of drawers and an en-suite shower room with WC. The second bedroom is another double room with storage space for belongings, and the third bedroom is a twin room with a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a shower over the bath and WC. The garage has been converted into a small games room which features a table tennis table and a dartboard.

Outside is really where dreams are made, you have a large decking area that sits over the edge of the water where you can fish from, or just sit back on the garden furniture and be at one with wildlife and unwind in tranquil surroundings. Perhaps enjoy a spot of al fresco dining on the table and chairs provided. There is private off-road parking for up to three cars. This property has a private water supply.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This cottage is all about its location, right on the river and next to the town centre. It was lovely to appreciate the river, either sitting on the decking or looking out from the lounge or mixing the two by opening the bi-fold doors. We had a very enjoyable long weekend, thank you.
