Adults only. Dogs not permitted but the owners dog occasionally stays when the family use the property.

This charming cottage can be booked for 2 to 4 guests. If the ground floor is booked for two it may be possible for a reduction depending on the time of year.
With bags of character and located only about 10 mins walk to the centre of Holt this makes an ideal base to explore the Georgian town. Fully refurbished, Malbec Villa has been redecorated with a classic style with comfort in mind. Newly carpeted flooring, squashy sofas and comfortable beds make this a home from home.
My favourite room is the kitchen/diner/sitting room. which has a good sized kitchen with a breakfast bar, washing machine, dishwasher and a rather smart Smeg Fridge/Freezer. separated by the breakfast bar is the open plan sitting/dining room; a carefully considered upgrade has resulted in a pleasant mix of antique and modern furniture. (There is also a separate sitting room to the front) This large room, stretching the length of the cottage is likely to be where you’ll spend most time. The sitting area has a comfy sofa under the window next to the wood-burning stove, a TV and Bluetooth speaker with radio.
Off here is the ground floor double bedroom, large enough for a sofa and a small table and chairs situated so you have views of the delightful cottage garden. Adjacent, there is a spacious ensuite shower wet room.
From the hallway is the second sitting room with two largish sofas, a TV and another wood-burning stove.
Upstairs is the second double room overlooking the front and with a door to the ensuite bathroom (shower over the bath) . There is also another WC in a separate room.
The garden is a delight. A lawn is central and leads down to the summer house at the bottom of the garden. Either side of the lawn are large herbaceous borders filled with typical cottage garden plants from Irises to Lupins. Heavily scented, climbing roses frame a seating area and when shining the sun is somewhere in the garden for most of the day.
There is private off-road parking is to the front of the house for two reasonable sized cars.
All in all this is a most attractive cottage and is ideal for couples who want quality, comfort and Holt town centre amenities within walking distance.
