2 double rooms both with en-suite shower rooms, open plan living accommodation – kitchen, sitting area and dining. Private suntrap courtyard garden.
Looking for something different? - A most interesting timber framed conversion with several ‘talking point’ features (we’re not telling!). Beautifully presented, tastefully decorated, well equipped. All you could need.
The name derives from the time, many years ago, when the current owner’s uncle would not allow his sons’ “girlfriends” to stay in the main house, so fond farewells had to be said into the shelter of what became known as: Nooky House... This building is now a sumptuous renovation with a stunning timber framed extension by a locally renowned architect.
A hand carved gothic style oak front door opens into Nooky House where you immediately notice the fully glazed end gable allowing a flood of light throughout the ground floor. This is an ‘L‘ shaped area with the solid, quality kitchen open plan to the sitting and dining areas.
Double doors at the side of the property allow access to your own south-facing courtyard garden. Well screened by tall bamboo planting.
Upstairs the two double-bedded rooms are cosy havens with sloping ceilings and fitted carved oak cupboards. Much thought went into the design resulting in modern en-suite wet rooms to both bedrooms. The location is delightful – on the green opposite the cathedral-like splendour of St Margaret’s church with the Swallows pub, village amenities and coast just a stroll away.
