BEAUTIFUL RIVERSIDE RETREAT, CLOSE TO NORWICH AND THE NORFOLK BROADS

This stunning waterside property annex to the owners, has been delightfully furnished and offers amazing views of the river. Sit and watch the boats and wildlife pass by at a sedate pace, it is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax.

Located in the village of Brundall which has many amenities including pubs, shops, restaurants, bistros and takeaways. The property is ideally situated Norwich is a ten minute train ride from where you can explore the Castle, Cathedrals, many museums and indulge in some retail therapy. Further afield lies Wroxham the capital of the broads with its bustling high street and waterways. The Norfolk coast is a short drive along with the National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling. Pensthorpe past home of BBC Spring Watch is also close by.

Guests arriving at this riverside retreat enter into a spacious, light and stylish open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, the kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and  hob and fridge with ice compartment. A dining area with table and chairs, welcome treats on arrival. The lounge has comfortable sofas and views out onto the decking and river, TV/DVD and CD player.  A double bedroom, the shower room comprises of a double shower cubicle, WC and wash hand basin with vanity unit.

Outside: A raised decked area with garden furniture. Shared summer house with seating and BBQ overlooking the broads. Off road parking.

A beautiful cottage on the river. Everything you need was provided. Was nice of Jim and Truffle to meet us on arrival and show us round. The bottle of Prosecco was welcome to celebrate my birthday there. Pleasant for fishing. The weather for October was superb and enjoyed sitting on the deck in the afternoon. The Boathouse is a comfortable riverside cottage in a very special location. Invariably quiet and peaceful, it is a wonderful place to relax and to enjoy watching the local wildlife (eg a heron fishing) or pleasure craft on the River Yare. This is a super place to stay. The Boathouse is very clean and comfortable. Very well appointed and maintained with everything one could possibly want. Very quiet location right on the river so it is interesting to see pleasure boats go along and wildlife very near - a heron was in touching distance one morning. We have had a fabulous relaxing week at Jim and Truffles boat house. Wonderful views of the river with boats meandering up and down. Lovely sunsets and sunrises, and time spent enjoying meals and drinks on the deck. We would highly recommend to others.

Lovely setting. Very peaceful and interesting. The only visitors were ducks and we enjoyed hearing the cuckoo daily. Watching the boats sail past was very relaxing. Jim and Truffle were very welcoming and helpful.

We had such a wonderful relaxing time at The Boathouse. The photos on line don't do it justice. The location is perfect, to watch the boats pass and to watch and listen to the birds. Having cheeky ducks waddle into the kitchen was hysterical. Also loved the visits from Truffles, Jim,s friendly dog. The weather wasn't very kind to us but had it beenRead more better it would have been hard to venture from the boathouse. It's only 2 minutes walk from the railway station so we hardly used the car. The cottage was lovely, spotless and the location on the river peaceful but with plenty to see with boats and wildlife. Facilities excellent and as the weather was glorious the living room was bathed in sunshine and we had the patio doors open sitting on the deck. Would not hesitate to recommend and the welcome from Jim and Truffles was great.

This booking was exactly what we wanted .. actually it was more . It was pure peace and quiet, the weather was amazing too. Perfect location as you can just chill the whole time but its close enough to towns if you want to do something. We had a couple of days just at the property relaxing but also hired a boat for one of the days and travelled to Read morethe beach. Great location on the River, fantastic views of the river wildlife and boats, warm and comfortable even in a cold and windy February. Peaceful get away, close to nature, but with shops pub and restaurants within a 3/4 mile walk. Easy parking helpful and friendly host. We'll be back

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Brundall Boat House in 18 months. That says it all really The location is spectacular. The boat house is extremely comfortable and all the equipment/furniture/decor are high quality. You can now hire a day boat within the Marina... We loved the area the Boat House was in. It was very interesting. The view we had was perfect and very relaxing. We have done a lot of sight seeing in Norfolk already so it was just right for us to watch the boats go by and also to take a boat ride ourselves.. Though the weather turned cooler and wet we still had a nice break.

My husband and I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Brundall boat House, right from arriving we were made welcome by Jim and truffle ( truffle is an adorable little dog ). This is our favourite self catering break. Our third visit. The location is so beautiful. As you open the door you can feel yourself starting to unwind. Its very easy to get into Norwich or the coast. There are lots of nice eating places nearby.. in particular we like the Waters Edge at Woods End..
