With plenty of attractions to suit all tastes in this beautiful area of Norfolk, for nature lovers or adventure seekers, the beautiful scenery of Thetford Forest offers fantastic walking and biking opportunities, and hosts outdoor events including live music concerts. Banham Zoo offers a great day out and is located in the village. Motorsport fans should take time to visit Snetterton Race Circuit who have a regular programme of events. The Norfolk and Suffolk coasts can be reached within an hour, as can the famous Norfolk Broads where day boat hire is highly recommended. The region is also home to many stunning National Trust properties or alternatively, if some retail therapy is needed visit the fine city of Norwich.

Enter the cottage via the porch area which provides useful storage for coats and shoes before entering the impressive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With its full height vaulted ceilings, beautiful exposed beams and calming neutral tones this room provides a wonderful place to relax and recharge in the evenings. Cosy up on the comfortable sofas in front of the free-standing wood burner while watching your favourite programmes on the TV with basic sky package and DVD. While there are plenty of places to dine out, should you decide to test your culinary skills the kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer and a convenient dishwasher to help clean up afterwards, also in this room is the dining table and chairs. The romantic bedroom features an antique style double bed and continues the sophisticated decor. Completing the accommodation is a wonderful bathroom featuring a Victorian style roll-top bath with shower over bath and WC.

Venturing outside, the cottage enjoys an enclosed garden with large lawn area and fruit trees, garden furniture and BBQ for guests to enjoy a morning coffee or some summer evening al fresco dining. There is a handy outside tap for washing down muddy paws or bikes and parking for one car is available under the cart shed.

Nice edge of village location, but the road was surprisingly busy. The garden could only be enclosed by closing the main gate, which could impede access. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped.

Loved our stay! It was the little touches that made us enjoy it straight away with cookies and dog treats left out for us on arrival. Takeaway recommendations that were left for us were also much welcomed! Owners were also non intrusive. The accommodation was great inside, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here !

A lovely cosy and warm barn. Great enclosed garden with a useful car port. Very private and quiet. We really enjoyed the stove which was welcoming following long walks on the broads and fens. Would highly recommend this accommodation. The owners were friendly and non=intrusive.

Arrived on Christmas Eve to this lovely cottage, it was cosy, with a well equipt Kitchen. Bed was comfy & towels were provided, there was a bottle of wine, mincepies & milk along with tea & coffee was left for us......Thank you! Lovely welcome and friendly owner. Little touches such as milk in the fridge and a gift of a packet of Vienna Thins was very thoughtful. Lovely garden with an apple and a pear tree which we were allowed to enjoy the fruit. Good undercover parking in the grounds.

A lovely well presented little cottage, and a fantastic outdoor space for your dog to have a run around. The cottage is well equipped providing everything you need on a self catering holiday. A car is definitely needed as you are deep in the countryside with the nearest shop approx. a mile away. Great base to see lovely Norfolk.

Lovely setting definitely remote, you will need the car to do the basics, you can't really walk from the cottage anywhere. With many of the Covid restrictions lifted my wife & I were looking forward to our week in the country again after a 2 year break. Beautiful cottage to a high standard with plenty of space. Heating was toasty and fire if needed when colder! Lovely welcome pack with treats even for our dog. The cottage is on a very fast road. The garden is not dog secure as it is a shared drive with the house behind. No dog walking unless you risk the very fast road. The bathroom looks lovely and would be to a lot of people.However, I am 5ft tall and the VERY deep bath was too high for me to get in ! Very helpful owners. Garden is secure, with shared access driveway. Our dog isn't good with strangers and this could be an issue, owners did come to our rescue with a temporary fence (fantastic). Very clean. Countryside all around, so take care walking as the local people drive along with speed!!!

A lovely cosy cottage for a couple and a dog in an idealic location. Lots to do and see in nearby towns, with easy access to both Suffolk and Norfolk. We would stay again in the future if looking for somewhere to stay for a short break away and would recommend to family and friends.

A great cottage for two people set in lovely countryside. Would definitely recommend it to anyone with a dog who enjoys walking and eating out as there are many dog friendly pubs to be found in and around the area. Hope to return in the future!
