Snettisham is a pretty coastal village in the heart of Norfolk, with a choice of pubs and restaurants, and which is home to the excellent RSPB Snettisham bird reserve. The ancient Peddars Way runs close to the village, and there’s a wonderful network of paths and bike trails to discover. The beautiful beach is just a short drive away, and the area offers numerous nature reserves to enjoy, including RSPB Titchwell, Blakeney Point and Pensthorpe Natural Park. The village is ideally situated for visiting Heacham, Dersingham and the Royal Family’s Sandringham Estate. The wonderful Holkham Estate and Holkham Hall are also within easy reach. Also nearby are popular towns and villages including Burnham Market, Fakenham, Hunstanton and King’s Lynn.

On entering this attractive red brick terrace holiday cottage, you will find yourself in the bright and spacious lounge. With plenty of comfy seating, TV and a traditional wood burner, the light and welcoming lounge is an ideal space to relax in at the end of a lovely day. Moving into the stylishly designed kitchen/diner you will find a charming dining area, perfect for four guests, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and washing machine. A quite steep but straight staircase leads you up to the first floor, where you will find two cosy bedrooms. There’s a master bedroom with a double bed, and also a twin. You will also find a shower room complete with a walk-in shower and WC.

A split stable door opens out from the kitchen onto an enclosed garden with a paved area with outdoor seating, picnic table, BBQ and gravelled garden area. There is private designated off-road parking available for one car in front of the property.

The cottage will be decorated over the Christmas period.

Fantastic little cottage in the centre of the village. It was warm, immaculately clean and had all of the facilities we needed. Nice walks round the village with the dog, and only a short drive from Snettisham beach for lovely sunsets (and fish and chips). Thank you so much for a great holiday.

The cottage was ideal for my wife and myself , plus our dog ... all very clean and everything we needed was available . Location of cottage gave us easy access to several beaches and local amenities. We will have this holiday cottage at top of our list of places to return...owners Jane and Rob very welcoming .

Lovely cottage located in a quiet road in the village of Snettisham. A 2 minute walk from the local amenities, a well stocked Co-op, 2 good pubs, a superb caf & if celebrating a special occasion an excellent restaurant.(The Old Bank) The cottage itself, immaculately clean, bright & very cosy. This is an outstanding, comfortable & well appointed cottage in a well served quiet village & we really enjoyed our stay. Lilac Cottage was wonderful. Clean, tastefully and well-decorated, and well-equipped Everything we could have wanted was there, and it all worked! The location could hardly have been better, and we thought Snettisham itself was a surprising village. We went for the Snettisham Spectaculars, and there were indeed spectacular!

This was our second visit and we enjoyed it as much as the first. Lilac Cottage is very well-equipped, clean and comfortable. Lilac Cottage was warm ,cosy and very homely. It was very clean, everything you needed was there. Bed really comfy. So peaceful, lovely neighbours. People in the village very friendly. Lovely location and comfortable cottage which was well equipped, nicely decorated and perfect for our needs. The Rose & Crown and Old Store in Snettisham were both fantastic. Well situated to explore the coast and we loved Holme, Thornham and Brancaster. Lots of lovely pubs and places to eat and plenty of lovely walks. A lovely cottage in the heart of Snettisham village, surrounded by local amenities and 10 mins (by car) to local beaches. Cottage is charming with traditional features and picturesque art decorating rooms, a lovely enclosed garden provides a safe space for dogs and a comfortable space to sit on long summer evenings, would highly recommend.

Lilac cottage was very welcoming and cosy. It was spotlessly clean and have everything you could need for a self catering holiday. My dog loved the garden, and the neighbours! I loved staying at Lilac cottage and would definitely come back.

We were delighted with the cottage, location, all mod cons, excellent shower and off street parking. The owners notified us that we could take up residence before the appointed time which was very helpful. We were approached by a local resident who wanted to compliment us on the new porch which is both well designed, practical and attractive.

Lovely cosy cottage and well located in lovely village ideal for visiting beaches and places of interest. Cottage had everything needed. Our only issue was with TV signal very intermittent for 3 days which was a shame as weather was poor and after being out all day an evening in front of TV would have been nice. Wouldnt put us off returning though.

Excellent cottage which was really clean and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the shower really efficient. Hardly needed to use the heating as it was such a warm cottage.
