A stylishly renovated cottage nestled in the grounds of an impressive 18th century hall, perfect for visiting the attractions of both Norfolk and Suffolk in one stay.

The popular market town of Beccles is located close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border together with being the southerly entrance to the scenic waterways of the Broads National park, it is also the ideal base from which to explore both the coast and county of East Anglia. Nature lovers will enjoy day boat hire or guided tours on the River Waveney or for those keen on more active pursuits take on the Beccles Marsh Trail or one of many countryside walks. The location offers easy access to the popular coastal towns of Lowestoft, Southwold and Aldeburgh where quaint fishing villages offer traditional seaside entertainment. The Cathedral city of Norwich is slightly further field and offers theatres, shopping, culture and cuisine.

Originally a servant’s quarters and standing in the grounds of a beautiful stately home this delightful cottage has been renovated to provide stylish holiday accommodation. Initially entering the bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner guests will notice a contemporary colour scheme and stylish finish. The lounge area provides a relaxing space for guests to sink into the comfortable sofa and chair while watching the Smart TV or planning the next day’s activities. The well-equipped kitchen comprises an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, and a breakfast bar and a dining table providing a place to enjoy any more formal or perhaps celebratory meal. The bedroom provides glorious views to wake up to over paddocks and countryside with French doors leading to the patio area and the double bed ensures a peaceful night’s rest. Completing the accommodation is a stylish shower room with shower and WC.

For those who enjoy relaxing outside, the cottage enjoys its own private fully enclosed garden ideal for dogs also with views over paddocks with pretty planted beds and borders. A shingled area with garden furniture provides the perfect spot for alfresco dining with the charcoal BBQ provided. There is off-road parking for two cars.

This is a lovely cottage, in a very quiet and rural area. However Beccles town is only a very short drive and easily walkable. It is very comfortable and has everything needed. Our last trip was in the freezing spell and the cottage was lovely and warm. Highly recommended.

A lovely light and bright well equipped cottage. Nice dog proof garden and patio with walks directly from the cottage. Richard and Sharon are very amiable and on hand if you need anything. Ideal for a short walk into Beccles town centre with independent shops. Alternatively well placed for nice ride out to Horsey Gap for a spot of seal watching. We originally booked the cottage for a stay in 2020 (!) and so glad we decided to book again as this is a hidden gem nestling on the outskirts of Beccles (5mins drive). Richard & Sharon (with Gary & Dave) were waiting for us on arrival. Inside they had laid on some milk, biscuits and flowers , all of which a lovely touch. Beautifully appointed and modern cottage in a fantastic position. I have stayed here before and plan to do so again. Lovely places to walk, close to Beccles and less than 30 minutes from the nearest beach. I would highly recommend this holiday accommodation and the owners who are excellent hosts.

The cottage was perfect in every way both inside and out, our dog Finn, loved the garden and we enjoyed the walks in the surrounding countryside and beach areas including Beccles, Bungay, Kessingland and Lowestoft. The cottage was ideal for us to take it easy and relax, thank you very much

Nursery cottage was extremely clean and very comfortable, lovely garden and patio area , peace and quiet. Great base for going to places such as Aldeburgh, Southwold and Caister on sea. Whole week was excellent and Richard (owner) was always available and helpful.

Nursery cottage was spotlessly clean and fairly comfortable. It is well situated with lovely views over open countryside. There is a patio off the bedroom where you can sit with an early morning cuppa or a late afternoon glass of wine. Wow, we had a lovely few days here on beautiful private land with horses grazing as you look out the window and a gorgeous. View, it's so peaceful. Our dog loved it here as its quiet, our dog can be a bit highly strung sometimes so the the quiet walks on your doorstep were lovely! This is a WYSIWYG property, read the description, see the photogrphs and that is what you will find. If that is not enough, the hosts, Richard and Sharon are absolutely delightful. Pilgrims Way that leads to the property may be a little bumpy if you drive a low slung hard sprung sports jobby. Recommend a friend - absolutely.

This is a nice property just outside Beccles. A walk to the centre is about 20 minutes but you'd need a torch at night as the track from the main road is unlit. Nice friendly owners and a very comfortable cottage. WiFi is very good. A great location to visit Norwich, the coast and Broads.

A lovely cottage, very clean and furnished to a high standard. Good size TV. Beautiful bathroom with walk in shower. A nice welcome with milk, wine and flowers, also nice biscuit for the doggy guest. Private garden great for letting out the dog safely and good garden furniture. Very quiet location for a relaxing holiday.

We had a lovely long weekend stay in Nursery Cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The welcome gifts were very thoughtful and even included a large dog biscuit for our spaniel!
