This wonderfully presented and traditional Norfolk cottage provides a family with the ideal holiday home and is ideally located to explore the beautiful coast and countryside of this fantastic area.

The peaceful and picturesque village of Syderstone is ideally located in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk countryside, and is within easy reach of the coast which is just ten miles away, with an array of fabulous sandy beaches including those at Hunstanton, Brancaster, Wells and Holkham. Hunstanton is a traditional seaside town and provides a wonderful family day out with a range of entertainment including a Sea Life sanctuary, fun fair, crazy golf course, a leisure centre with pool, bowling and beautiful beach front gardens. For nature lovers there are plenty of beautiful nature reserves in the area, including Syderstone Common, a short walk from the property, which is home to the rare natterjack toad and the scarce woodlark. RSPB Snettisham and Pensthorpe Natural Park are also close by. Boat trips out to see the resident seal colonies near Blakeney Point are less than 20 miles away. The stunning Holkham estate covers an amazing 25,000 acres of land, including the grounds of Holkham Hall, beautiful pinewoods, and the idyllic wide sandy beach at Holkham Bay. For the younger guests there is a children’s playground just 300 metres from the property. Sandringham Estate is only 10 miles away.

Guests will enter this cottage and arrive into a hall which has doors to the lounge, dining room and kitchen. The spacious and light-filled lounge has two comfortable sofas and a contemporary chair, a 43 inch Sony Smart TV  and an open fire, perfect for a family to relax around on those chilly wintery nights. The modern kitchen is well-equipped boasting an electric oven and hob, a microwave, fridge and dishwasher – the old boiler room, accessed from the utility room, also has an additional large fridge-freezer. From the kitchen the separate utility room houses a combi washer-dryer which leads to a downstairs shower room, with WC, sink and an electric walk in shower. The dining area leading from the kitchen provides a great place to dine with your family or friends and has a table and seating for six guests. Through a door from the dining room takes you upstairs to three bedrooms, a family bathroom, with shower over bath, WC and sink, and a separate shower room with walk in shower, WC and sink. The first bedroom is king-size with a built in wardrobe and dressing table. The second king sized bedroom has an open wardrobe and dressing table. The third bedroom consists of a twin room with two single beds and a built in wardrobe.

Outside offers a large enclosed garden which is the perfect place for soaking up some rays whilst planning the rest of your trip and talking about the adventures of the day. A large patio area with enough garden furniture for six guests is available for some al fresco dining. There is off road parking available for two vehicle.

Another lovely stay at the Old School House. The house itself is always clean, very comfortable and well equipped. The location is great, especially for our dog with a secure garden and circular country walks on your doorstep whilst beaches are also close. And the people in the village are super friendly! We love it and hope to return.

We have had a wonderful week in Norfolk. The Old School House was perfect for 2 couples, our aunt and 2 dogs. We found it a great location for dog walking, it was situated in a quiet village with lots of fields with well marked walking paths. We were 15 minutes to dog friendly beaches and towns. The house was very well equipped, we even made a fullRead more roast dinner. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the rooms and the garden was great. We loved the house and its location. Everything we wanted was provided. If we couldnt find something we knew we just had to look harder because it was in the house somewhere.

We have stayed at The Old School House many times and continue to enjoy it very much. It is ideal for 6 people, with separate bathrooms for each couple. The facilities are ideal and we have no complaints whatsoever.
