This idyllic cottage is full of charm and is set in the heart of a delightful market town, making it an ideal holiday base for a couple looking to enjoy a romantic getaway in beautiful surroundings.

Set in a quiet spot in the pretty Georgian town of Holt, this lovely cottage is just an easy stroll from a fantastic choice of pubs, restaurants, art galleries, antique shops and book shops. There are numerous beautiful walks to enjoy including the Holt Owl Trail, or you could explore the 100 acres of Holt Country Park. Nearby attractions include Norfolk’s only working watermill at Letheringsett, the ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle, or you could take a trip on a steam train. This is a wonderful area for nature-lovers and birdwatchers, with numerous nature reserves to visit, including those at Cley, Blakeney and Sheringham. The coast is nearby, with popular towns and villages including Wells-next-the-Sea, Weybourne and Cromer within 13 miles.

 

On entering this bright and spacious traditional flint cottage, you will find yourself in the light and welcoming dual aspect open-plan lounge/diner. The lounge features plenty of comfortable seating, a flame effect electric fire, Smart TV, CD and Blu-ray DVD. Having a snug dining area, dining table, bench and chairs. Heading into the kitchen, you will find it fully equipped with an oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with ice compartment. You will also find a ground-floor wet room comprising of walk in shower, WC and wash hand basin. Going upstairs, you will find two cosy bedrooms: there’s a light and attractive double room with plenty of  wardrobe and storage space, and a comfortable single room. Also on this floor is a utility cupboard tucked into the eaves and housing the washer/dryer.

 

To the front of the terraced cottage is a pretty, partly-walled and secluded courtyard which has some outside seating and a table for alfresco dining, where you can sit back and unwind at the end of a lovely day. Please note the neighbouring cottage has a right of way across the courtyard. There is also an allocated parking space just round the corner to the back of the cottage.

Great cottage in a great area to explore the surrounding coastline. Holt have everything you need as far as food and entertainment. Great dog walking area at Spout Hills.

Nice quiet , clean and quaint cottage. Ideally sited for local shops but Holt was rather disappointing for places to eat of an evening .

Stayed in April 2022 and everything was just wonderful. Cottage was spotless and smelled lovely. Great location for everywhere, even a lovely park across the road to take the dog in the morning. Highly recommend.

The cottage was clean and had everything most people would need for a holiday stay and is very conveniently located within the town. Having a parking space is a bonus as alot of town/city accommodation requires the using of ( and paying for ) car parks not always nearby.

Cottage was great and for a reasonable price. There have been a few comments about parking but I had no problems with my car (XC90) although turning around in the parking area when all of the other cottage occupants' cars were there was a bit awkward. Double bed was cosy, but to be fair, it was the biggest that would fit, and generally the use of sRead morepace is very good. We had a glitch or two with the WiFi dropping out, but it was fine for 99% of the time Hide

Thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Location is great just off high street but nice & quiet (I'm a light sleeper & had no issues) & black out blinds excellent. A lovely cottage well placed for town and amenities and for travelling along north coast of Norfolk. Very comfortable with good facilities in kitchen and parking for one car. Very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again if coming to the area.

Pretty little cottage that is very well equipped., with Off road parking in small gravel yard and right next to Bugens store for any groceries. Not the easiest to find the front door though, as hidden past a row of cottages & through a side garden gate.

Beautiful little cottage, location to town centre and local areas great. Found some real gems for eating out 2 favourites Dun Cow in Salthouse and The Snug in Holt town. Well next the sea well worth a visit.

The cottage was well equipped with crockery, baking trays and bowls. Although the kitchen was tiny it had everything that you would want to use whilst away on holiday. The bedrooms were well furnished and the main bed was comfortable. A lovely cottage and a perfect location for the shop and the High Street.

super cottage looked like no one had used it before it was clean and fresh. Parking can be difficult on some cottages. Loved the detailing in the decoration of the building and quality items used to furnish. Has excellent access to town ( 5 min walk) which has superb high quality shops and places to eat.

Perfect cottage for a 2-3 people with great location and beautiful walks to both the Holt Country Park and some common land which was perfect for our large dog. The only caveat I would have is that there is no upstairs loo so during the night it is a trip downstairs which for most folk is not an issue but for some might cause a problem. The cottage is in a great location for amenities of pretty Holt and access to beautiful North Norfolk. Beautifully and thoughtfully appointed making it cosy and endearing. We loved it and hope to return.

Fabulous cottage, exceptional clean with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Perfect location 3 mins walk to Holt high street with many shops cafes and restaurants. Plenty of great things to do within easy driving distance, Holkham beach, Holt park, Sheringham Park, trips to see the seals.

This is a lovely cottage, compact but with everything you could need.
